About Me

From a young age, I have always been interested in creating. I would build things with my grandpa, I took apart toys to see what was on the inside, I fixed things that were broken, I made my own gadgets. I enjoy art, photography, videography, playing and recording music.

When I get an idea for a project in my head, it has to happen. It has to be made. I will figure out how to do it and I will make it happen.

I have been a guitarist and bassist for 20+ years. The first time I took the plunge into building an instrument of my own was in my wood shop class during my senior year of high school. Years later, a conversation about that bass led to the desire to try again to build a bass – a better bass. This time I spent a lot of time to research and sought advice from luthiers on how to build a custom bass. I ended up very happy with the results, but I knew that I could do better. I couldn’t stop there. Before I was done with that bass, I started planning out a guitar. Then I built it. And it grew from there.

I was so happy with my first two builds that I sold all of the factory built name brand instruments I owned because I didn’t need them anymore. I had something better.

What I love about building guitars and basses is the creation of custom aesthetic designs – my designs. I enjoy shaping and molding the wood and materials into a fully functional and naturally beautiful instrument. I analyze every last detail in order to build an instrument exactly as I dreamed it to be.

LAB started as a way to build my own bass, but over the years I have gained knowledge and skills to improve my designs and my build quality. Each build is better than the last and the next will be even better. I build an instrument that is comfortable to play, looks beautiful, and sounds great. I will always create my own models and refuse to make clones. I will never stop creating.
