Alpine – Pecan

Electric guitar body with a bookmatched pecan top wood

Alpine – Pecan

The framework for this guitar started when Matt from Saltwell Designs reached out to me and asked if he could start a body blank and send it to me to continue building into a full guitar.

He had a beautiful pecan board that he knew would make a really unique bookmatched guitar top. He re-sawed it and glued it up to a piece of ash for the body and sent it my way. He also sent along the rest of the pecan, which was enough for me to bookmatch and add to the back of the body after I hollowed out the ash.

You can see the process for this guitar build on instagram, tiktok, or facebook. The links are at the top of this site.
